VinFast OBD-II support

Pelican knows 4 VinFast models. The OBDb has no parameter data for them yet.

Every VinFast that supports OBD-II also reports the standard parameters, such as speed and engine data.

About VinFast

VinFast is a Vietnamese car maker that Vingroup established in 2017. The legal headquarters is in Singapore, and the factories are in the Hai Phong region of Vietnam. The company listed on Nasdaq in August 2023 through a SPAC merger.12

The current models are the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9. The company also sells electric scooters.2

VinFast postponed the start of operations at its planned 4 billion dollar factory in North Carolina to 2028. VinFast cancelled its UK market entry and delayed the opening of dealerships in Thailand.234
