About Pagani

Pagani Automobili is an Italian maker of hypercars. Argentine-Italian engineer Horacio Pagani established it in 1992. The headquarters is in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena. The company also makes carbon fiber components.1

Pagani cars often use a V12 engine that Mercedes-AMG develops. The Zonda was the first model and was built in several variants, including the Cinque and the Tricolore. The Huayra, introduced in 2011, replaced the Zonda. It is named after the Quechua wind god Huayra-tata.1

The Utopia was unveiled in 2022, and Pagani plans 99 examples of the coupe. It uses a 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged V12 that Mercedes-AMG developed for Pagani. The engine produces 852 horsepower.12

Horacio Pagani is CEO and an owner. The Public Investment Fund holds 30 percent. The company has 242 employees as of 2026.1
