Every Rivian that supports OBD-II also reports the standard parameters, such as speed and engine data.

About Rivian
Rivian is an American electric vehicle maker. R.J. Scaringe founded it in 2009 as Mainstream Motors. The headquarters is in Irvine, California. The main factory is in Normal, Illinois, in a former Mitsubishi plant.12
The R1T pickup truck and the R1S SUV both launched in 2021. The R2 is a midsize SUV. Deliveries of the R2 began on June 9, 2026.13
Rivian also builds electric delivery vans for Amazon. Amazon is a major investor. It ordered 100,000 electric delivery vans in 2019.1
Rivian went public in November 2021 with an initial public offering that raised about 11.9 billion dollars. Volkswagen Group became its largest shareholder in May 2026. This followed a joint venture on software and electrical architecture.45
