Polaris Inc. is an American maker of off-road and recreational vehicles. It began doing business in 1954 and has a manufacturing site in Roseau, Minnesota. Its headquarters is in Medina, Minnesota.12
The company makes snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles such as the Ranger and the RZR, and the Polaris Slingshot three-wheeler. It also makes motorcycles through the Indian brand, boats and commercial vehicles.1
Polaris owns Aixam and Goupil, which sell small commercial and urban vehicles in Western Europe. In 2011, it acquired GEM, or Global Electric Motorcars.12
In 2024, Polaris reported revenue of 7.18 billion dollars and had about 15,000 employees. In October 2025, Polaris announced that it would separate Indian Motorcycle into a standalone company by selling a majority stake to Carolwood LP.13
